The Town of Chatham is hiring the following Seasonal position:

Pickleball Attendant

Starting Pay $18/hour.

The Outdoor Pickleball Attendant is responsible for the day-to-day operations and oversight of the Chatham Outdoor Pickleball Courts. This position ensures a safe, welcoming, and well-maintained environment for members and guests. The attendant serves as the on-site point of contact for court activity, adherence to policies, and communication.

Duties Include

Open and secure the court shed and surrounding facilities
Check in members and guests, ensuring accurate access verification
Enforce all Recreation Division policies and Code of Conduct
Perform minor daily maintenance to ensure the facility remains clean, organized and safe
Monitor parking areas to ensure compliance with posted regulations
Promote safe play and respond to incidents in accordance with safety guidelines
Communicate any operational issues or behaviors not in accordance with Division policies

Minimum Qualifications

Must be 18 years of age or older with a valid driver’s license. CPR and First Aid certification preferred, or ability to obtain upon hire. Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, communication and conflict resolution. Knowledge of the game of pickleball and familiarity with common rules and etiquette preferred. Ability to work independently and remain organized. Physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform light maintenance tasks.

Schedule

Up to 24 hours per week, Monday thru Saturday, 8am – 12 noon

Onsite attendance is mandatory.

Duration

Temporary/seasonal employment with expected duration from June to early September.
